Permissions
Section titled “Permissions”New conversation autonomy is the starting point for each new conversation; the last choice made in the prompt bar lands here too. Changing it does not touch existing conversations.
Action permissions applies to every conversation, including open ones: for Search the internet, Use the browser, and Use the computer, choose Always, Ask, or Never. “Never” wins over any autonomy. See Browser and computer.
AI Providers
Section titled “AI Providers”Connect SquadOS or a provider you already use. With Use my existing account, Studio uses the subscription you already pay for with the provider (such as ChatGPT Plus/Pro or Claude Pro/Max): the browser opens for you to sign in, and SquadOS never sees your password. With a SquadOS account, choose the Company in use.
Under Models, choose which ones appear in the conversation and schedule pickers, which is the default (Use as default), and the model for Internal tasks (ideas on an empty conversation, memory, summaries of long conversations).
Under Images, choose who generates images in conversations: your ChatGPT subscription or SquadOS. Through SquadOS, each image uses organization credits.
With a provider account connected, Connected account quotas shows how much of its usage windows has been spent (for example, the 5-hour and weekly ones) and when they renew. Usage includes other conversations and apps using that same account. Use Refresh quotas to read them again.
Disconnecting a provider does not erase files or conversations and does not cancel the subscription on its site; new conversations and schedules that depend on it stop until you connect again.
Remote access
Section titled “Remote access”Turn it on to open this computer’s conversations from SquadOS Mobile. Files stay only on this computer and nothing runs anywhere else. Studio has to stay open (it stays in the tray when you close the window). Use Disconnect this computer so the phone can no longer reach it.
Synchronization
Section titled “Synchronization”Share folders with authorized collaborators in your organization. Turn on File synchronization, choose the Shared folders, and, if you like, upload and download limits. Pausing stops uploads and downloads without deleting files. The storage allowance belongs to the whole organization. If the option does not appear, sharing is not available in your organization.
Updates
Section titled “Updates”On Windows, the Microsoft Store installs updates. On macOS, use Check for updates or turn on Download and update automatically: the new version downloads as soon as it is out and installs when you close Studio.
