Schedules
A schedule is a saved prompt that Studio runs on its own: at a repeating time or when an event arrives from a connector (for example, a new email). Each run becomes a conversation you can open later.
Create a schedule
Section titled “Create a schedule”- Open Schedules in the sidebar and click Create a schedule, or start from one of the Templates (for example, Morning briefing or Sales metrics).
- Write the Prompt: what should be done each time, in your own words.
- Choose the Folder, the Model, the Reasoning, and the Permission. Giving a schedule full access asks for confirmation, because it will act without asking for approval, even when you are not looking at the screen.
- Optionally, choose an Owner skill by typing
/in the prompt. It is called at the start of every run. - In Start with, choose Schedule or Connector event.
- In Where it runs, choose On this computer or In the cloud.
- Save.
Studio suggests a name for the schedule from the prompt.
On a schedule
Section titled “On a schedule”In Repeats: On weekdays (Monday to Friday), Every day, Once a week, or Every few hours, with the time of each run.
On a connector event
Section titled “On a connector event”- Choose the Source connector, the Source account, and the Event. If the account is not connected yet, connect it in Connectors.
- In Conditions, filter which events start the routine, combining rules with Add condition (AND) and Add alternative (OR). Without conditions, every event from that source starts the routine.
- Use Test conditions with example to check the conditions against a made-up example, without running anything.
- In Actions available to the routine, use Choose actions to say what the routine may do in your accounts. The event source does not grant any action by itself.
- Choose Save and activate or Save paused.
How long it takes to detect an event depends on the connector and can take a few minutes. With Replay with event, you run the routine again with a real event from the history, without changing the automatic run’s result.
On this computer or in the cloud
Section titled “On this computer or in the cloud”| On this computer | In the cloud | |
|---|---|---|
| When it runs | Only with Studio open. A time that passes with the app closed is not made up; events are kept until the computer is back | Even with the computer off and Studio closed |
| What it sees | The chosen folder on the computer | Only the owner skill’s package and the chosen input files; the computer’s folder, your personal AI accounts, and local connections do not go along |
| Model | Any connected account | A company model |
| Requirement | — | A company SquadOS account with cloud schedules in the subscription and a published owner skill |
To run in the cloud, Studio asks you to Publish and turn on: the skill package goes to your company’s cloud. In the cloud, use Stop to halt a run in progress.
So that a local schedule does not miss its time while the computer sleeps, turn on Keep the computer from sleeping while a conversation is working.
Follow up
Section titled “Follow up”In My schedules, each item shows the next run and the last one, with its result (finished, could not run, waiting for you). Open a schedule to see its Runs, use Run now, Turn on, Turn off, edit, or delete it. Deleting stops future runs but keeps the record and the conversations it created.
